E4S KNOWLEDGE BASE

Infrastructure monitoring and operations FAQ.

Detailed answers about monitoring, secure access, alerts, workspaces, client isolation, automation and product architecture.

What is E4S Infrastructure Control?

E4S is a monitoring and operations platform for servers, websites and services. It combines availability checks, agent telemetry, alerts, secure terminal access, fleet actions and permission-scoped customer workspaces.

How is E4S different from uptime-only monitoring?

Uptime tools tell you that an endpoint is unavailable. E4S also connects the problem to the server, service, assigned team and controlled recovery action so an authorized operator can investigate and respond.

Does E4S expose SSH ports?

The E4S terminal uses the protected application and agent channel. Infrastructure access remains subject to authenticated sessions, explicit permissions and asset scope.

Can a client operate only their own servers?

Yes. Client operational permissions are evaluated against assigned assets and workspaces. Owner business administration and other customer resources remain outside that boundary.

How are false downtime alerts reduced?

Reliable monitoring uses confirmation logic, consecutive probes and recovery transitions rather than treating a single transient network failure as a confirmed outage.

Which Linux systems can be monitored?

E4S is designed for common Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and server environments including control-panel, application and custom-service workloads.

What can E4S monitor?

E4S monitors servers, websites, APIs, certificates, Linux services, ports and agent telemetry according to configured assets and plans.

Can E4S restart a failed service?

A controlled policy can attempt service recovery when authorized. If recovery fails, the platform can escalate through configured alerts.

Does E4S support company teams?

Organizations can have multiple isolated workspaces, members, tasks, messages and assigned assets under plan-aware limits.

Where are API keys configured?

External integration credentials are entered in the Owner SaaS Center. Secret values are encrypted rather than included in public frontend code.

Is public registration always open?

No. Registration stays locked until the Owner configures required anti-spam and verification settings and explicitly enables it.

Does E4S guarantee zero downtime?

No monitoring platform can guarantee prevention of every outage. E4S improves detection, context, response and accountability while independent backups and recovery remain essential.
